You know, to be the music guy in parties, to be respected for speaking of bands no one has ever heard of. The road to elite musical taste is a long and winding road, but I am prepared to take it.

First of all, I should remove uncool musical references in my home node. My dear girl-fronted bands should leave: byebye Nina Persson's The Cardigans, Sharleen Spiteri's Texas, Deborah Harry's Blondie or Tracy Tracey's The Primitives.

Most of the others are fine, but everyone likes Bob Dylan, or the Stones. But I must add cool bands regularly, of two types:

First type are unknown bands (maybe The Primitives can make a comeback), so no one knows they are really awful, and be amazed at my broad musical tastes.

The second is easier; it requires almost no deep research, but I'll need to find a person which already has elite musical taste, and take good note of the bands they like. The problem is that there's a lot of people which believe they have elite musical taste (perhaps one of the readers of this node) but which are soooo uncool!

I shall also pick one of those and start a pet peeve thing against them, because there ain't no such thing as an uniform elite musical taste standard. What would we talk about in parties, then? I think I am prepared for it. I'll burn my Sam and Dave cd, I will only put my B-52's for intimate hearing and I won't hear greatest hits ever more. Perhaps I'll even turn to vinyl.

Huh... I was trying to be ironic. Oops! I should have said something like I wanna have 31337 musical taste :)

Well, at least this lives on in Stupid Word Tricks. The anonymous nuker might want to follow up on that.

You know, I didn't like dannye. I really like some of his factual nodes, but I always got the idea that he's just a bitter guy. Well, I still don't really like him personally, but I'm finding out that he cares more for the database than most of the other gods/editors.

I've had my share of nukings, but only dannye has had the guts to come to me and discuss a node of mine, with views to deleting it. Some of you could learn, folks.
