"The only worthwhile currency in this bankrupt world are the things we say when we're uncool."

~Philip Seymour Hoffman in Almost Famous

This is such a perfectly accurate statement. If we are all honest with ourselves, when we are cool, we are fake. When we are cool, we are being this entity that is socially acceptable, even desirable, to the group that surrounds us. We pretend, we act, we mimic, we entertain.

It is in the uncool moments that the truth comes out. It is in the uncool moments when we are real. It is in the uncool moments where gems of genuine self are shared with others.

What better currency exists beyond that?
