Impregnation by Shoulder Tapping (poetry)

I forgot most of High school biology
but I think I remember the important parts.

Reproduction, at least in humans, is not random.
There has to be some intimate contact on both ends.

I am saying this, mostly to myself
to convince myself that I am not pregnant;
that the hot flashes and lightning bolts down my back are simply
extraneous variables.

Now I have to figure out what it is
we have conceived.
