A perfect example for the decline of my interest in professional football. From a view of his ability: Ray Lewis is quite possibly the best linebacker to ever play the game. That is a bold statement, but physically, he is completed unmatched at his position. Lewis seems to be in on, or part of, 80% of the plays the Baltimore Ravens make. But regardless of what Charles Barkley says, professional athletes are role models!

For this reason, Ray Lewis winning the MVP of the Super Bowl last night put the nail in the coffin of my interest. Lewis claims he was the victim. The NFL fined him $50,000 for the actions taken last year. Two people have died, and a year later, the final consequence will be millions of dollars added onto his next contract. The NFL is a sham! Having played football and loved it for nine years of my life, I don't know what to say. Whoever the stat genuises are for CBS displayed a stat last night. Through the playoffs and the regular season, Ray Lewis had 187 tackles at that point in the game. I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but it was the only reminder of his actions from a year ago.
