Jollibee is the most popular fast food chain in the
Philippines, with more than twice the market share of
McDonald's. Aside from the typical
burger and fries, the menu includes
fried chicken (served with rice),
spaghetti, and the native
palabok. In recent years, Jollibee has expanded overseas and now has branches in
Hong Kong,
Taiwan, and the
United States. Who could have imagined that one day, a
Filipino food chain would be
selling burgers to the Americans?
With a distinctive red and white color motiff, Jollibee has for it's mascot a giant smiling bee. When I go to Jollibee, I usually order the fried chicken and a peach-mango pie. I don't order the spaghetti, because I don't like hotdogs in spaghetti.
Jollibee also owns the roast chicken restaurant Mary's, and the pizza place Greenwich. Jollibee is listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange as Jollibee Food Corporation (JFC).
