The amount of money a gambler has allocated for gambling. Wise gamblers set a limit on their losses, and make sure they have enough money for their hotel room, food, and the trip back home. Foolish gamblers assume they're going to win, and don't set a limit on how much they can afford to lose. Many Las Vegas residents live there because they couldn't afford to get back to where they came from.
