Sorry! is a
board game from
Parker Brothers. It plays similarly to
Ludo, except that instead of
dice, there is a
deck of (
shuffled)
cards that determine your moves. Some cards move you backwards instead of forwards, and some allow you to take another
go.
Some cards introduce a slight element of strategy to the game, by allowing you to make choices. For example:
- Move a new pawn into the game, or move an old pawn forward.
- Move a single pawn forward 7 spaces, or split the 7 spaces between two pawns.
- Choose one of your opponents' pawns to send back to the START position (the 'Sorry!' card).
This game is likely to make your family squabble if played with children - doubly so if you play with four players, in teams of two. It is also possible to play for points, which can be much more... competitive. >:)
