An annual parade held at Coney Island with an aquatic theme. Usually held in the first weekend of summer, the parade is strongly influenced by the New York arts scene, Brooklyn locals, the increasing availability of body paint and latex.
Many of the floats and groups in the parade live for excessive poisson-influenced puns. Consider yourself: warned.
The parade also has many art cars and antique autos that lead the parade down Surf Avenue towards The Cyclone. Sadly, they are no longer allowed to drive on the boardwalk.
Since Brooklyn is allegedly a part of New York City, onlookers are required by law to carry at least two cameras (digital, film or movie) at all times and obnoxiously harass the parade marchers.
