A climbing hold that is the opposite of a Jug. The sloper is flat and inclined. Sometimes slopers are so hard to hold onto that moisture levels in the air can be a signifigant factor. Due to this many bouldering problems are only attempted when the weather is at about 5oC below 0.

One can then hold the sloper, but the tradeoff is that one can not feel one's hands.
