The northernmost tip of Manhattan, in the city of New York. Almost the Bronx. Location of neighborhoods such as Inwood and breathtaking sights such as the Cloisters.

For those who aren't New Yorkers - the joke here is that New York City contains the southernmost point in New York State, meaning New York city residents refer (somewhat disparagingly) to everything else in the state (well, on the mainland at least - Long Island isn't included) as 'Upstate.' 'Upstate Manhattan' is a somewhat self-referential joke, mostly used by those who live there to indicate the distance from Downtown in everything from miles to attitude that can be found there. I say this as someone who lived there for a decade.
