City in New York, directly to the North of New York City. Yonkers was named after some Dutch guy by the name of Adrian Van Der Donck, who was known as De Jonkheer, which means "The Young One." It's located next to the Hudson River, right across from New Jersey. The population is approximately 200,000. The current mayor is John Spencer. It's part of Westchester County. It was the original home of the Otis Elevator Company, and the first pencil factory in the United States. It also has a river that is almost completely underground: The Nepperhan/Saw Mill River.
