In the
UK there are over 846,000 empty properties, and thousands of
homeless people. The math is not hard to work out. Squatting is a solution to
homelessness, empty properties,
speculation and building unnecessary new homes on
Greenfield sites. It provides homes for those who can't get
public housing and who can't afford
extortionate rents. Squatting creates space for needed
community projects. Squatting means taking
control instead of being pushed around by
bureaucrats and property
owners.
SQUATTING IS STILL LEGAL, NECESSARY AND FREE
This life is NOT for everybody, in many peoples eyes what you are doing is illegal and you are going to have to bend the rules to get away with it. However squatting no matter what people say is NOT illegal but it is frowned upon especially after the Thatcher years and the legislation that was brought in by her government.
