Employee of the new Apple Stores.

In the back of every Apple retail store, there is a bar with stools.(See Genius Bar) You sit, and there is an employee wearing a black Apple shirt called a 'Mac Genius" who will answer any mac-related question.

It could be simple, like How do I burn a CD?, or What does Megahertz mean?, or even "What is the difference between ATA-66 and ATA-100 hard drives?"

If the "genius" does not know the answer to a question, there is a red phone with a direct line to Apple, in Cupertino, CA.

The mac genius is authorized to do some troubleshooting on site, and send it back to HQ if there's a problem too big. You could bring in your iBook or Powerbook and he'll show you how to burn a CD or something.

Did I mention there's a minibar behind the bar, where the genius can serve bottled water?
Apple defines the Mac genius as Ambassador to the local Macintosh community.
