I'm not primarly a
country music fan, but this song really touched me in a personal way. Excellent music, excellent
lyrics.
Perhaps the reason this song touches me so much is because when I fall
in love with someone they've always already become my
best friend. When I lose someone I've loved... I lose
my friend too, and that hurts more than losing a
lover ever could.
It has only happened a couple times, but even once is more than enough in a lifetime.
Anyways, here's the other songs on the
album and the
lyrics to the
song.
I've gotten really good at
pretending i'm not dying inside.

Song Title:
I miss my friend
Artist Name:
Darryl Worley
Album Title:
I miss my friend
I miss the look of
surrender in your eyes
The way your soft
brown hair would fall
I miss the power of your
kiss when
we made love
But baby most of all
Chorus:
I miss my friend
The one my
heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend
I miss the
colors that you brought into my life
Your golden
smile, those
blue/
green eyes
I miss your
gentle voice in
lonely times like now
Saying
it'll be alright
Chorus
I miss those times
I even miss the
silly fights
The
making up
The morning talks
And those late afternoon walks
I miss my friend
The one my
heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
If there are any mistakes let me know.
