Warcraft III.

Stats: Build time: 60 seconds. Armor: 5. HP: 900.
The Altar of Darkness is usually the third building built by a Scourge commander, after the queueing 2 Acolytes at the Necropolis, then getting an available Acolyte to summon a Crypt, then 6 seconds later the Ziggurat and finally when enough money is available, the Altar. The less than a minute recruiting time then allows an instant army of five Ghouls and your first hero to go creeping. Best built at the back of a base to avoid early targetting.
