Meanwhile, if these hours be dark, as, indeed, in many ways they are, at least do not let us sit deedless, like fools and fine gentlemen, thinking the common toil not good enough for us, and beaten by the muddle; but rather let us work like good fellows trying by some dim candle-light to set our workshop ready against to-morrow’s daylight—that to-morrow, when the civilised world, no longer greedy, strifeful, and destructive, shall have a new art, a glorious art, made by the people and for the people, as a happiness to the maker and the user.
Words to live by:
toalight says Yep, writing stuff like that down invariably make it leave the system, at least for a while. I will give you one advice now: always always try to have fun. Your future asshole boss will not show up at your funeral to speak winged words, and there's no extra points for making someone unhappy. Just so you know ;) Cheers!
Wntrmute says in response to the questions of the last para of your daylog, my guess after 2 years of uni would be: pretty much yes; yes but you won't forget it; no; and you always were in charge- it's just now you're worried about it. as regards escapes, it's good to see you seem enthused enough to be able to lose yourself in your studies, that's done a lot for me, but most importantly there's your relationship with your girlfriend. The transition might be difficult but it can and should work- of the 10 people i lived with last year, the only ones in relationships were those who were with the person before ever getting to uni; i can't think of anyone who met someone at uni and is still with them, my friend in greatest emotional turmoil is there because she regrets losing the relationship she did have before uni. But trust me, it's a lot easier to adapt than you'd imagine: i have plenty of daylog angst on that topic i think!

I have had a crisis of E2 faith and abandoned the Covenant. Sometimes there are more important things to write about. I suppose I have my Mentor to thank for this one.

Tomorrow's World -- Joe Jackson
Hey - did you ever see so many stars in the skyYeah - and can you imagine how many we can't even see
Imagine we're in the jiddle of the Galaxy
Yeah - Imagine how many blazing stars there'd be
We're gonna fly in Tomorrow's World
and there'll be cities on the moon
No one'll die in Tomorrow's World
and miracles will happen soon
In Tomorrow's World
Hey - d'you remember that rocket they blasted into God knows where
Yeah - with the pictures for someone to find
with chemical symbols saying
Hi how you doin' to the folks out there
Yeah - they put the Bach music in
left all the shit behind
Sometimes I think we should be sending out an SOS
But mostly I just think of all the things I can't wait to see
We're gonna live in Tomorrow's World
We'll live on power from the sun
We're gonna live in Tomorrow's World
And there'll be food for everyone
In Tomorrow's World
