French actress born in Brest in 1964. Most famous for Betty Blue, directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix, in which she played the title role, which mostly consisted of walking around semi-naked looking sultry and pouty. Her nickname is La Grande Bouche (bigmouth) which is not entirely due to the pouty lips: in 1999 she was declared an "Undesirable Immigrant" by the American ambassador to France and denied a work permit to portray Bruce Willis' wife in The Sixth Sense - a role that ultimately went to Olivia Williams, thanks to Dalle's two arrests for cocaine possession in Miami during filming of the Abel Ferrara film The Blackout. Previously to this, she'd been arrested for assaulting a Parisian meter maid who was ticketing her car in a handicapped parking place. Wild child.
Her films include:

37°2 le matin(Betty Blue)(1986)
Night on Earth (1991)
La belle histoire (1992)
J'ai pas sommeil (1994)
Clubbed to Death (Lola) (1996)
The Blackout (1997)
