Clothing sizes in the
US have nothing to do with
reality. I sit here now in my size 0
Banana Republic jeans. In my closet you will find some
Tommy jeans, size 2 some
Levis, size 4 and even a few 1s and 5s of various labels. THEY ALL FIT. In fact the size 0s are too loose and the size 2s are a bit tight. (
!?!) No wonder women go around asking if they are
fat. Men have these
reasonable numbers for size that are
directly related to the size of the waist of their pants. In womens' clothes it seems to be
random.
This all said, I’d like to add that all of the
name brand clothes mentioned in this node were bought
second hand and the
labels have been removed. Now that I think about it I think I’ll remove the
goddamned size tags too.
