A 21-mile long elevated railway serving commuters in the Miami-Dade County, FL area. Metrorail's trains are air conditioned, and zoom above the cityscape at about 65 miles per hour. Ample parking is present at most stations, allowing Metrorail to be used as a convenient park and ride service in and out of downtown.
Metrorail serves the following stations, from south to north:
- Dadeland South (South Dade Busway, and the greatest barbecue restaurant on Earth)
- Dadeland North (Dadeland Mall, Kendall drive)
- South Miami (Sunset Place)
- University (University Of Miami)
- Douglas Road (Coconut Grove, via bus connection)
- Coconut Grove (?)
- Vizcaya (Vizcaya, Miami Museum of Science and Space Transit Planetarium
- Brickell (Metromover Brickell Loop to Downtown Miami
- Government Center (Metromover, all loops, downtown bus terminal, main library, Miami Art Museum, Miami Historical Museum)
- Overtown/Arena (Miami Arena)
- Culmer (?)
- Civic Center (Civic Center, University Of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital)
- Santa Clara (Miami-Dade Community College Medical Center Campus? Better to use Civic Center (it's about a one block walk.))
- Allapattah (I dunno, Allapattah?)
- Earlington Heights (Miami International Airport, airport business district, and Dolphin Mall via North Dade Connection bus)
- Brownsville (?)
- Dr. Martin Luther King, JR. (?)
- Northside (Unknown, but it doesn't look like one should get off here unless they really need to... bad neighborhood and stuff.)
- Tri-Rail (Connects to Tri-Rail to Miami International Airport and West Palm Beach)
- Hialeah (?)
- Okeechobee (Presently the end of the line)
- Coming soon: Palmetto (This station will have a large park and ride facility to prevent commuters headed for downtown from having to drive the S.R. 836 expressway (which is painfully slow even outside of rush hours) from the Palmetto Expressway.)
