The Rutles' style is amazing- they managed to put together all of
the Beatles
' trademark sounds and techniques while writing their own music and melodies. The results are hilarious, and the songs, as they sound like the Beatles (how could that be wrong?), actually stand up on their own. They've put out two albums, "The Rutles", released in 1978 as a soundtrack to the mockumentary, and
Archeology
, in 1996 as a parody of
the Beatles Anthology
.
