Something that
induces a state of deep
sorrow,
catharsis, or otherwise
crying. Thus, the
actor of the
action 'jerks' tears from the eyes of the
person recieving the
action. Usually said of a
movie,
book, or other means of telling a
story. For example :
"That
movie was a real
tear jerker; I was practically
bawling when I left the
theatre."
