Term for super cheap, computer whose only function is to access the internet. This consists of reading email, composing email and browsing the web pages. Usually small enough to connect to a TV, resides amongst the other home theatre appliances, and costs about the same. Newer devices include standalone units that have their own monitor and maybe a keyboard built-in.

Updated for tftv256 who saw fit to rant about my 'error' for unknowingly suggesting that an internet appliance was not an actual computer.

Tell me something... My microwave oven has a microprocessor in it. Should it be classified as a computer? How about my VCR?

No, one is a kitchen appliance the other a home theatre appliance. Their microprocessors were designed to do one thing. Nuke food and play tapes respectively.
