Appleseeds made their
debut as a
hard core band with the
album The End Of The Ring Wars, but have shifted to
emo rock on their three latest albums:
Mare Vitalis,
Low Level Owl Volume I and
Low Level Owl Volume II.
These three albums are a beautiful exploration of sounds, the use of loops, echoes, instrumentation, inverting tape and changing speed.
Genrewise, the band's been put into that big emo-basket, but -- at least on the Low Level Owl twin album -- I think more of them as a band playing soundscapes and electronica. With guitars.
