MacOS version between
System 5 and
System 7. The last System 6 release was System 6.0.8, which supports
printers shared from System 7 machines.
If you have a Macintosh Classic or earlier, you probably would run System 6 on it. You can download System 6.0.8 from Apple Computer; it fits on four floppy disks.
