Slutburger (1989) by Mary Fleener is a hilarious and a bit crazy (in a good way) autobiographical comic of drugs, sex, and rock and roll (might as well throw in life and death – there's even a ghost story). A Drawn and Quarterly Publication, Slutburger combines ancient Egyptian art, psychodelic art, surrealism and punk art that captures the kinetic pace of Mary's daily life or maybe more actually her approach to life since she claims it is fairly normal. Fantagraphics Books (Seattle) collected the best stories from the five issues of Slutburger into Life of the Party. As a testament of how good she really is, Daniel Clowes wrote a fan letter in issue #2.
