Hurritic goddess from Karkemish. Originally, Kubaba was an Upper Mesopotamian deity, but her worship later moved to Asia Minor. It is possible that she was the model for the later Phrygian fertility deity Cybele.
Kubaba is usually depicted posed on a bull or a lion.
