Hannes Wader is a
German Liedermacher like for example
Reinhard Mey(exactly translated this would mean "song maker". It is a German term for
folk singers).
short biography:
He mainly sings working class songs with a strong influence of daily politics (at least in the Sixties and Seventies). Born 1942, he moved to Berlin in the Sixties and was influenced by the student protests of 1968.
From 1977 till 1991 he was a member of the DKP ( a communist party), but left it after the end of the end of the DDR and the USSR feeling desillusionizied.
He recorded songs with the previously mentioned Reinhard Mey and with Konstantin Wecker(also a Liedermacher who has bin in jail for cocaine consume).
