Refers to Sly and the Family Stone, a 1960's and 70's funk band.

"Rollin' down Rodeo with a shotgun":
Refers to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA.

"My man Fred Hampton":
Fred Hampton was a member of The Black Panthers. This is one of the many, many references to various revolutionary groups that the band makes.

"We hungry but them belly full":

A single was produced by Rage Against the Machine with this name, but it was never released. It was, however, sent to various radio stations in the US, and is very rare.
