A term used by owners of LBCs that is an acronym for Dreaded Previous Owner. The DPO is the one who rewired your car's electrical system (when he/she owned it) with all the same color wire and a soldering torch; who replaced all the bulbs in the car with identical (incorrect) rated ones; who rather than fixing the rust in the fender lovingly spent more time and energy that it would have to do so Bondo-ing it and making it look good enough you couldn't tell...until the turn signal fixture fell out of the Bondo.
