Popular menu item at many diners, but if you ask me - not popular enough. Too many restaurants stop making breakfast at 11 a.m. Generally, the All Day Breakfast is fast, cheap, and huge: eggs, toast, bacon, homefries, and coffee. Comfort food. Sometimes all you want is a slick plate of grease to get you through the day, or the night, or whenever. There's a bunch of places in Toronto famous for their All Day Breakfasts. As of yet, I've only found one place here in Waterloo that's up to par: Mel's Diner. It's good eatin'.

My favorite All Day Breakfast resturant is Waffle House. Their menu doesn't change with hours of the day, and they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They serve common breakfast fare along with a specialty for Grits and Hash Browns. They'll cook anything they have in just about any manner you ask them to, as long as it isn't silly, like asking them to stand on their head while they do it, (although depending on the hour of night and who is working, this has been known to happen).

My favorite part of the concept of the All Day Breakfast at waffle house is the fact that all day means all 24 hours, you can walk in at 3:30am doing all manner of things with your Signifigant Other as long as you don't violate one simple rule. No Shirt, no shoes, no service. And on top of all that, you can smoke if you'd like. The price is right, and they don't care if you loiter. True All Day Breakfast joints like Waffle house are generally the best places to hang out with your friends.
