In a nutshell, a more verbose version of
Napster. Allows connections to multiple servers, including the established
OpenNap and
Napster networks.
Audio/
Video/
Image sharing software. Avoids some of the pitholes
Gnutella fell into by not being a true
P2P network, instead relying on non-centrilized
servers.
Resuming from any source & multithreading featured quite nicely. Sadly only currently available for Win32 clients, but hopefully as popularity rises this will change. Not law proof, not ingenious, but gets you that 'fully legal copy' faster than you can say RIAA.
