Actually post-
feminists are not
feminists at all. Post-
feminist is an
orientation that comes about because people believe that the
need for the
feminist revolution existed, but has
passed. Those who claim to be
post-feminist believe that the
feminist movement is
dated,
unnecessary, and becoming
embarassingly
PC.
A common
feminist rebuttal to this position is the
statement: "
I'll be a post-feminist in the post-patriarchy," implying that this post-
patriarchy does not currently exist.
