Belly is also a Hype Williams movie that came out in 1998. It stars a barage of rap/hip hop artists (Method Man, DMX, T-Boz, Naz) alongside a handful of no name actors, all of whom do a much better job in their roles that you probably think.

In fact, this entire movie is surprizingly amazing, something I attribute almost entirely to the work of director of photography Malik Hasaan Sayid (the man largely responsible for Spike Lee's cinemography). He invested so much thought and effort into making every single frame of this movie a masterful work of art that it had a huge impact on me, despite the shaky storyline. In fact, I think I'm going to go right now and add him to the list of heroes on my homenode.
