the process

My hair requires product, or else it looks super frizzy. I've tried a dozen different things. For the longest time I would spend all this money on all these different products, but I discovered this hack and have been using it for years. I grew tired of using hairgel, curl cream, hair cement, all these various compounds. This is so much cheaper. All you need is conditioner. Any conditioner will work for this; dry hair, curly hair, dandruff -- just make sure it's not a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, or a body wash.

The first thing you need to do is make sure your hair is completely dry -- this will give you a feel for how much conditioner you should use. Next, get your hands very wet, and then squeeze a little conditioner onto your wet hands and rub your hands together to dilute the conditioner with the water. You want it to be the consistency of raw egg whites -- not thick like conditioner, but not runny like water. Run your hands through your hair, and be sure to get the front, sides, back, etc. Do this a few times, until your hair is wet. Next, take your hands, and rub your hair back and forth like crazy to create volume. Scrunch it up. Do this for 10-20 seconds. Your hair should be huge when you're finished. Comb your hair down with your fingers, and voila!

The downside of this method, however, is that your hair will look somewhat greasy. This is fine though -- doesn't all product create a greasy look? Curl cream is basically just good smelling grease. Coconut oil too. Nobody will judge you so long as it looks deliberate.

Congratulations. You have transcended the need for plebeian products. You know the truth. Conditioner does the trick.
