A 'backwoods' sporting event held annually along the banks of the Ocoee River in East Dublin, GA. The Redneck Games began as a promotional stunt by a country station (WQZY) celebrating Georgia's hosting of the Olympic Games in 1996. Festivities commence with the lighting of a beer can torch and a homemade raft race down the Ocoee River. Other competitions include bobbing for pig's feet, seed spitting, hub cap tossing, armpit serenades, and dumpster diving. The winners of these events receive a trophy of a mounted and crushed beer can.
