See? a lollipop = want
oxygen = need

Of course it was never so simple,
(you, entering)
and suddenly formerly asserted needs
(sleep, bedding)
became so malleable (unnecessary).

Such rules are made for breaking, it seems
(but you knew that all along)

Always leaving the door unlocked,
knowing I would use it only to come around,
never to leave.
