Popular
daytime TV show of the 1980s.
The People's Court was a
small claims court with cameras, which would hear
two or
three cases per 30-minute
episode. It was presided over by
crusty old
Judge Wapner and his trusty sidekick,
Rusty the
Bailiff.
All TV programs today that star a judge are blatant ripoffs of The People's Court.
