major news event, rather than a
personal one. The
memory is so strong that everyone remembers
where they were when they heard it.
The
most often cited is the
assasination of
JFK for the
baby boomers. Also common are the attack on
Pearl Harbor,
Nixon's
resignation and the
Challenger explosion.
