"Look out for these viruses..."

The WildList is, as the name suggests, a list of computer viruses that are "in the wild" - that is, actually being spread at the moment by unsuspecting users. The list is published monthly, and a dynamically updated version is also available.

It is maintained by the WildList Organization (http://www.wildlist.org/). Originally it was compiled by anti-virus expert Joe Wells, and later several reporters - both independent researchers and people associated with antivirus software vendors.

(Folks in sfnet.atk.sodat often use the WildList as a grim reminder of the quality Windows - especially when the Microsoft supporters say that Linux virus threat is "growing"...)
