A community of artists against musical piracy. Their base is in Los Angeles, California (USA). They're purpose, in their own words is to, "educate the public about the value of music, and to represent the artist's voice in the dialogue about music and technology".

The group was founded on July 11, 2000. A lot of their big points are against the common trend of internet-trading of music files in MP3 format, one of the largest websites where this takes place is called Napster.

Some artists who are members of Artists Against Piracy are:
blink-182
Alanis Morisette
Aimee Mann
DMX
and of course
Metallica and Dr. Dre.
