The first
novel by
Ben Elton. The main characters are CD, a "whingeing
pommie wanker", who is madly in love with Rachel, an eco-activist without feelings for CD, Zimmerman, a crazed
Vietnam veteran, Walter, best friend of Zimmerman and huge
pacifist, and Sly Moorcock, enemy of the four and member of the stark consortium.
Being a non-
subjective writeup I cannot say that it is an extremely
funny book, or that anybody who disagrees has no
sense of humour, but I do recommend that you read it.
