A
Medic Alert tag, usually worn in the form of a
necklace or
bracelet, alerts
medical personnel of a pre-identified
medical history. It also identifies
allergies and
medications that the
victim has. The tag has an ID number and a phone number that medical professionals can call to obtain the history, names of
doctors and
close relatives. Some prefer to use Medic Alert cards in their
wallets, but it is more apt to become separated from the victim.
