London based rock band formed by Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian (used to be close friends of this author). The band first flew onto the scene in the summer of 1999 with release of their first EP "The Door", originally intended as a soundtrack to a film which, in the end, never got made.

A year on the band signed on with Source and then in 2001 came out with their self-produced debut album, The Optimist LP which was widely acclaimed by music authorities such as NME, who earmarked the band as the next best thing. The band has been widely billed as conveying genuine feeling and was a runner up for the Mercury Music Prize. Their latest album is The Ether Song. They can be described as acoustic rock.
