The National Flag of Finland (thing)

The Finnish national flag features a blue cross on a white background. It's shape is rectangular and the dimensions are, as prescribed by the law (827/93): height 11 and width 18 units of measurement and the width of the cross 3 units. The color used in the cross is PMS294C. The flag symbolizes "the blue of our lakes and the snow of our winters" as written by the poet Zacharias Topelius. The use of the "Siniristilippu" was first legitimatized in may 29, 1918.
