Bret Hart's signature
submission hold. Complicated to explain, but here goes...
1) The
victim is lying on his back.
2) Bret lifts up the
victim's legs.
3) Bret places his right
leg through his opponents legs, landing his
foot to the right of the
victim's
stomach.
4) Bret wraps the
victim's legs around his extended leg.
5) Bret flips the
victim over onto his
stomach while maintaining his hold on the
victim's legs.
6) Bret
squats down and leans back.
It should be noted that
Sting of
World Championship Wrestling also uses this move as his
finishing move, but he calls it the
Scorpion Deathlock. The two moves are identical, and either name can be used.
The Rock has also been known to use the
Sharpshooter from time to time. Interestingly enough, the
WWF still calls it the
Sharpshooter, even after
Bret Hart left the federation on such
bad terms.
