When you talk about things like life, death, heaven, hell, philosophy, religion, sex--all the things that make our heads spin.

This kind of conversation often happens late at night, in parked cars, dorm rooms, or basement rec rooms. Basically where high school or college students hang out. At least for me, the occurence of such conversations died down dramatically once I joined the real world.

The other kind of serious conversation most people hope to never engage in is usually something your soon-to-be ex-boyfriend/girlfriend requests with you, or what your parents bring up when they tell you that you have to move to Bangladesh with them and work in a slave market. When a serious conversation is initated with the word serious actually being mentioned, you know to cringe.
