A ridge of bone that projects from and runs horizontally across the occipital region of the cranium (meaning the part of the skull around the very upper part of the neck). As with the sagittal crest, an occipital bun allows more surface area for muscle, thus permitting larger jaws. No humans (should) have this feature. If you do, you're probably a neanderthal.
