Yet another proposed term for the years 2000-2009; it sounds distinctly
British to me and I'd say it has a good chance of being used there, even if only on
TV. Sounds like "
naughty" of course, and therefore will inevitibly crawl up on all those British
variety shows etc etc.
Of course it could also be spelt naughties, but I feel this is a bit crude... the word naughty already exists; noughty is a new variation and is actually a pun, rather than just a suggestion of humour.
