μανιταρια γεμιστο

A Greek delicacy - literally "stuffed mushrooms".

Usually created with large cup mushrooms, filled with a fairly sweet tomato relish, then the tomato is topped with an aromatic, fine grain cheese (think parmesan), then roasted under a grill.

This dish is available as mezedes (Greek "yum cha") at Kamari - Greek Taverna Kafe in Sydney, Australia.

Truly scrumptious!
