Geek fatigue describes that period of time at which you are tired with frigging with something, often after you broke it yourself. For example, trying to understand a strange, intermittent bug.

Geek fatigue is a subjective thing that affects people differently depending on level of patience. I think jwz's quote about Linux is only free if your time has no value is symptomatic of a period of geek fatigue.
